Your first consultation and treatment. £48
During your first consultation your symptoms will be discussed in-depth, along with full medical history, general health, pulse diagnosis and tongue analysis. Based on this information, a TCM diagnosis and an individualised treatment plan will be discussed and agreed.
From here on, treatment can begin. Acupuncture is just one aspect of TCM treatment, and other methods that may be used in conjunction are; acupressure, electroacupuncture, moxibustion, gua-sha, cupping and food / lifestyle advice. The practitioner, Brooke, will be at hand to explain the treatment, answer any questions and offer reassurance. To allow for relaxation, the needles are usually left in place for approximately 20 minutes.

After placement, additional therapies such as moxibustion or cupping may be added if needed. The needles usually remain in place for approximately 20 minutes, allowing you to relax.
Dry Cupping
Cupping is an ancient form of alternative therapy where cups are placed onto the skin to create suction, thereby increasing blood circulation to the area. The cups are often glass, plastic or silicone, and can be left in place for a period of time, or they can be moved around.
Frequently used for musculoskeletal conditions and to help release muscle tension. When needed, cupping may be incorporated into your treatment plan at no extra cost, or if you simply enjoy cupping as a massage you can extend your treatment time to include this when booking your appointment online.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a Chinese Medicine practice where a herb called Moxa (or Mugwort) is burned to add warmth to a specific area. It can also be used alongside Acupuncture to enhance its effects and help build energy levels.
When needed, Moxibustion can be added into your treatment plan.
Gua-Sha
Gua-Sha is a therapeutical method of Chinese Medicine, it involves the scraping of lubricated skin, often with a tool similar to the one pictured above. It increases micro-circulation to the tissues and creates a therapeutic anti-inflammatory effect. When needed, Gua-Sha can be incorporated into your treatment at no extra cost. Or, this is available as an ‘add-on’ if you would like to extend your treatment time when booking online.
